By: Tammy Embrich
Work at home for holiday cash is certainly possible. There are numerous ways you can make relatively fast money from home and online. And many people are anxiously searching for various legitimate ways to make money before the big holiday roles around.
I'm providing 12 fast ways below on how you can make money from home. However, it is always your responsibility to do your own research with anything you find online that seems unlegitimate or shady. This is so important. There are thousands of scams out there! Always be extra cautious. Also, if you come upon an online opportunity that you have to hand over some of your out-of- pocket, steer clear of those. All the money making opportunities I've shared with you below do not require any fees.
Please Note: Some of these are not from online
1. Mystery Shopping - You can make some extra money by becoming a mystery shopper part time. A few people even do this full time. However, (as stated in this interview), it takes a well organized and ambitious person to do mystery shopping full time. Scambusters.org/mysteryshopper.html
2. Paid Surveys - There are tons of paid survey sites that are free to join and make honest money with. Although, please watch out for those websites that charge a fee to obtain a list of these paid survey companies. You can do a simple search for all kinds of free ones on Google.
3. Sell Items On Ebay and Craigslist - Yes, you read that right. There are many individuals that make decent money just by selling items on Ebay and Craigslist. If you have (useless to you) items around your house, and they work, are not broke, and are in decent condition...then they would be a good fit for both sites to make money.
4. Article Writing - If you have a deep inspiration to write, or you just like the writing process, you can make money with writing articles. There are article writing websites, (they are also known as article content mills), that pay you for writing articles. However,
most of these sites pay low rates for your writing. Do a search for "article writing content mills," you may be lucky and find a site that pays relatively decent rates.
5. Blog Posting - If you are into blogging, you can make money by writing up blog posts, articles, reviews and giveaways. There are specific sites where they pay you for just blog posting. Have a look at the following sites. PayPerPost, Review Me, About.com, Blog Burner, Bloggerwave, Weblogs, and others.
6. Virtual Assistant - This time of year, many online business owners are busy with year-end inventory or they are just getting ready for the coming year's sales campaigns and promotions. If you know your way around the web and you have some experience with assisting others with their businesses, you can make some good money with virtual assisting. These tasks vary from email assisting, help with newsletters, submitting articles, blog posting, and the list can go on and on. It depends on
what type of home business when considering the type of work you would be doing.
7. Sell Handmade Items On Etsy - If you have a lot of handmade items that you have created, selling them on Etsy would be a good choice. There is a small 3.5% sales fee for each item sold. You can find all the details on their website. Etsy.com.
8. Babysitting - There are people that will pay you verses daycare, as of course daycare costs are eccentrically high. And
some daycare centers will not take children on a part time basis either. So most working Moms will pay for a sitter rather than enrolling in daycare.
9. House Cleaning - There is good money to be made for house cleaning, and many people that work and don't have time for house cleaning chores, or they are among the upper class and comfortably wealthy
will pay for house cleaning service. You can get clients by placing ads in your local newspaper and/or posting flyers around in your home town.
10. Holiday and Tree Decorating - There are many people that will pay you for holiday decorating, especially elderly people. You can advertise for this in newspapers and through all the retail stores.
11. Holiday Baking - Holiday baking is considerably time consuming, no matter how you look at it. When it comes to choosing the goodies to create and also gathering all the ingredients for them, and also
considering getting all the holiday shopping done as well, some people just don't have the time. If you love baking, especially for the holiday season, this would be an excellent way to earn some extra cash for the big day.
12. Dog Sitting - While this way of earning extra money is certainly not exciting and for some, it's not even enjoyable...however, it is still a way to earn some well-needed extra cash. This time of year, there are of course many people traveling and don't want to take their pets along for the ride. Also there are many other things you could be doing while you are making money dog sitting. For example, you could be earning money in other ways as well.
Above are just a handful of relatively fast ways to make money for some extra holiday spending. You may try some of these and even enjoy them so much that you decide to do it full time all year round.
