The work at home concept is gaining popularity not only in the western world but is also spreading to developing countries. Earlier, most people didn’t have the confidence to work at home and neither did they think it was a good idea as they wondered whether they would be disciplined enough to work in a home environment. Initial fears have gone by and working at home is becoming acceptable to many.
After being used to getting up at the crack of dawn, getting your kids ready for school, making a sandwich for them, packing them off to school and then you rush in and rush out of a shower, get ready and try to beat the traffic to get to work and after work it is no different. You start the rest of the day when you get home and probably get dinner ready, check the children’s home work, give them dinner followed by a shower, and the routine goes on and on. Now that you work at home you will really be so thankful for the time you have in your hands to do everything leisurely and not feel stressed out. Oh what a reward.
When you were going to your work place you probably missed out the activities of your children and since you now work at home, you manage your time in such a way that your children come first and you are able to go for all their activities. What a reward you receive when you see their happy faces.
Since you work at home you are available when the children come home and they don’t need to come to an empty house any more. Further, there is more supervision of your children who can get into mischief if left to themselves. Reward you receive on account of this is immeasurable, as it is evident that kids who have got into trouble are those kids whose parents were never available and they just got to do what they want due to lack of supervision.
Now that you work at home you have much more time to devote to your children’s home work. They may have been lagging in their studies and now you can see how much they have improved and continue to improve. That is so wonderful and what a way to be rewarded.
You no longer have to spend as much as you did for your clothes, shoes bags, parking, gas and maintenance of your vehicle since you do not need to get to your work place on a daily basis any more. You may realize that you are able to save much more than you did before. This is certainly a blessing.
There are so many more rewards when you work at home and it is wonderful that more and more people are becoming accustomed to it.
